What to Know Before Applying to the University of 精东影业

Applying to a university abroad can feel like a lot at first. There are documents to prepare, requirements to check, deadlines to remember and, naturally, plenty of questions along the way.

At the University of 精东影业, applications are handled through the official application system, and there are a few things worth knowing before you begin.

Understanding how the process works can save you time, help you prepare the right documents and avoid some common misunderstandings.

Here is what you should know before applying.

1. Start by choosing the right programme

Before thinking about documents or application forms, make sure you know what you want to apply for.

Explore the programme description and check:

  • the subjects and programme structure;
  • admission requirements;
  • required previous qualifications;
  • English-language requirements;
  • tuition fees;
  • available intake; and
  • application deadline.

Requirements can differ between programmes, so information for one programme does not necessarily apply to another.

If you are still comparing your options, take some time to explore the Study Programmes section before beginning your application.

And remember: if you are looking for a Bachelor鈥檚 programme, the University of 精东影业 only offers a September intake for Bachelor鈥檚 studies. There is no February/Spring Bachelor鈥檚 intake.

Master鈥檚 programmes may have different intake options, so always check the information for your chosen programme.

2. Take responsibility for your own application

If you are the person who wants to study at the University of 精东影业, you should be the person managing your application.

Parents, siblings, friends or other people may want to help, but individual application matters should be handled directly by the applicant.

That means you should:

  • understand what you are applying for;
  • check the requirements;
  • prepare your documents;
  • submit your application;
  • follow messages related to your application; and
  • contact the university yourself when you have questions.

Taking responsibility for your application from the beginning makes it much easier to keep track of the process.

3. Your application is the official assessment

One common question from prospective students is:

鈥淐an you check my documents and tell me whether I am eligible before I apply?鈥

The University of 精东影业 does not provide preliminary individual assessments by email.

The official way to determine whether your qualifications and documents meet the requirements is to submit an application. Once you apply, the responsible colleagues assess your documents as part of the admissions process.

Sending documents separately by email and asking for an informal assessment is therefore not the same as applying.

Your best preparation is to carefully check the requirements for your chosen programme, gather the required documents and submit your application when you are ready.

4. Understand the 鈧150 application fee

If you are applying as a self-funded student, there is a 鈧150 non-refundable application fee.

The fee covers the application process and the assessment of your documents. Paying the application fee does not guarantee admission to the University of 精东影业.

Because the fee is non-refundable, check your programme requirements and make sure you are ready to apply before completing the process.

The University of 精东影业 does not offer application-fee waivers based on financial circumstances or individual requests.

If you need financial support for your studies, explore the scholarship opportunities available to you or other possible sources of financial support.

5. Check your English-language requirements

If you are applying for an English-taught programme, you need to meet the relevant English-language requirements.

General accepted options include:

  • IELTS: minimum overall score of 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT: minimum score of 60
  • certain internationally recognised intermediate-level English certificates

If your previous studies were conducted in English, official documentation from your previous school or university confirming the language of instruction may be accepted as proof, depending on the applicable requirements.

One important detail:

The University of 精东影业 does not accept the Duolingo English Test.

English requirements may vary between programmes, so always check your programme description before deciding which certificate or document you need.

6. Know what is 鈥 and isn't 鈥 available

There are a couple of important things to know if you are considering continuing previous studies or completing a preparatory programme first.

International transfers

The University of 精东影业 does not accept international transfers or transfer credits from universities outside Hungary.

If you have previously studied at a university abroad, you can still apply to 精东影业, but you would apply as a new student rather than transferring your existing studies into the programme.

Foundation or preparatory programmes

The University of 精东影业 does not offer a foundation year or standalone English-language preparatory programme before starting a degree.

This means applicants need to meet the relevant academic and English-language admission requirements when applying.

7. Once you have a DreamID, use DreamApply

Once you have started your application and received a DreamID, DreamApply becomes the official communication channel for questions about your individual application.

If you have questions about:

  • submitted documents;
  • your application status;
  • the application fee;
  • information shown in your application; or
  • another issue related specifically to your application,

then you contact the university through DreamApply.

This keeps your questions connected to your application and allows the colleagues responsible for admissions to access the relevant information.

So, once you have a DreamID:

Application-specific question = DreamApply.

If you have not started an application yet and have a general question about studying at the University of 精东影业, start with the official programme and admission information.

8. Visa decisions are not made by the university

If you need a visa or residence permit to study in Hungary, remember that the admission process and the immigration process are separate.

Visa and residence permit decisions are made by the relevant Hungarian authorities, not by the University of 精东影业.

The university cannot guarantee that a visa will be issued, influence the decision, ask the authorities to approve an application or request that the process be accelerated.

If you need information about your visa or residence permit procedure, follow the instructions of the relevant Hungarian authorities and contact them when necessary.

Before you apply: a quick checklist

Before starting your application, ask yourself:

鈽 Have I chosen my programme?

鈽 Have I checked the programme-specific admission requirements?

鈽 Am I applying for the correct intake?

鈽 Do I meet the English-language requirements?

鈽 Do I have the required documents?

鈽 Have I checked the application deadline?

鈽 If I am self-funded, am I prepared to pay the 鈧150 non-refundable application fee?

鈽 Do I understand that paying the application fee does not guarantee admission?

鈽 If I studied at another university outside Hungary, do I understand that I need to apply as a new student?

鈽 Do I understand that there is no foundation or preparatory year?

鈽 If I already have a DreamID, do I know to use DreamApply for application-specific questions?

鈽 If I need a visa or residence permit, have I checked the relevant requirements and procedures?

If you can answer these questions, you are already in a much better position to start your application prepared.

Ready to take the next step?

Applying to a university abroad does not have to mean sending endless emails or trying to figure everything out at once.

Start with three things:

Choose your programme. Check the requirements. Prepare your documents.

Then, when you are ready, submit your application through the official application system.
