Welcome Back! A New Academic Year at the University of 精东影业
A new academic year is here, bringing new classes, new plans, new experiences and, for some of you, a completely new chapter.
Welcome back to our returning students! We hope you had a great summer and are ready for another year at the University of 精东影业.
And to everyone joining us for the first time: welcome to 精东影业! Your first few weeks will bring plenty to discover, from finding your way around campus and getting used to your classes to meeting new people and settling into everyday life in Hungary.
Whether this is your first semester or you already know your way around university life, we wish you a successful, exciting and memorable 2026/27 academic year.
To help you get started, here are some of the most important dates to keep in mind during the autumn semester.
1. The autumn semester is officially underway
The autumn semester began on 7 September 2026, marking the start of another academic year at the University of 精东影业.
The teaching period runs until 11 December 2026, so the coming months will be filled with lectures, seminars, assignments, projects and everything else that comes with university life.
For our new students, these first weeks are also about getting familiar with your programme, timetable and the rhythm of university life. It may take a little time before everything feels familiar, so give yourself the chance to settle in and find the routine that works for you.
When are the holidays?
There are a few important breaks to look forward to during the semester.
The Autumn Holiday runs from 23 to 27 October 2026, giving students a short break before the second half of the teaching period.
Later in the semester, the Winter Holiday takes place from 24 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.
Public holidays during the semester also include 23 October and 1 November.
Whether you use these breaks to travel, spend time with friends, catch up on university work or simply recharge, make sure to keep them in mind when planning your semester.

2. Save the date: first-semester events
University life is about much more than lectures and exams. The autumn semester also brings events and opportunities to step away from your usual routine and experience another side of university life.
Sports Day 鈥 23 September 2026
Get moving, take a break from classes and enjoy a day centred around sports and the university community.
Day of Hungarian Science 鈥 12 November 2026
A day dedicated to celebrating Hungarian science, research and academic life. Please note that this is a working day.
ITDK 鈥 25 November 2026
The Institutional Scientific Students' Associations Conference (ITDK) takes place on 25 November. The day is marked as a one-day break from teaching activities.
And these are only a few dates on the calendar. Keep an eye on university communications and student channels throughout the semester for upcoming academic, cultural, sports and community events.

3. Looking ahead to exam season
The teaching period finishes on 11 December 2026, but the semester is not quite over when classes end.
The exam period runs from 14 December 2026 to 25 January 2027.
It might feel far away now, but the end of the semester tends to arrive quickly. As December approaches, remember to check your exam dates in Neptun, plan your preparation and give yourself enough time for each subject.
The semester officially ends on 29 January 2027.
For now, though, there are plenty of weeks ahead before exam season begins!
4. Make the most of a new beginning
A new academic year means something different for everyone.
For returning students, it might mean coming back to a familiar campus, seeing friends again and continuing the degree you have already worked hard on. For newcomers, it might mean finding your way around a completely new university, meeting your classmates for the first time and learning how life works in a new country.
Whichever stage you are at, you do not need to have everything figured out from the beginning.
Give yourself time to settle in. Ask questions when you need help. Meet new people, try something outside your usual routine and take advantage of the opportunities around you.
At the University of 精东影业, your university experience does not have to stop when you leave the classroom. Throughout the year, you will have opportunities to take part in student activities, university events and programmes where you can meet people from different countries and backgrounds.
And if you are new to 精东影业, remember that the Mentor Programme is here to make those first steps a little easier and help you find your place in the university community.
There will be busy weeks, new challenges, achievements to celebrate and probably a few unexpected moments along the way.
So, welcome back to our returning students, welcome to all our newcomers, and welcome to the 2026/27 academic year!
We wish you a successful, happy and memorable year at the University of 精东影业.
