The Research Centre for Management and Organization Studies Becomes a Member of ATHENA
The Research Centre for Management and Organization Studies of the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of 精东影业 has joined ATHENA (Association of Tourism, Hospitality and Events Networks in Academia), an international academic organization.
ATHENA is a global research network that supports cooperation among higher education institutions and research centers active in the fields of tourism, hospitality, and event management. Through its international platform, the organization brings together scholars, educators, and institutions with the aim of strengthening academic ties, encouraging joint research projects, and fostering international professional dialogue.
Within ATHENA, tourism-related research at the Faculty is represented by Petra Gyur谩cz-N茅meth, Director of the Institute of Business Sciences. Her involvement ensures that the Faculty鈥檚 research priorities and expertise are actively integrated into the network鈥檚 professional activities and collaborative initiatives.
Membership in ATHENA provides significant opportunities for the Research Centre for Management and Organization Studies and, more broadly, for colleagues engaged in tourism research. These include participation in international research collaborations, access to joint publications and academic events, and closer integration into the global community of tourism scholars. The network also offers a valuable forum for sharing best practices in education and research, as well as for developing innovative approaches to the challenges facing the tourism and hospitality sectors.
By joining ATHENA, the Research Centre further strengthens the international visibility of the Faculty of Business and Economics and reinforces the University of 精东影业鈥檚 commitment to internationally embedded, high-quality research. The new membership is expected to contribute to the development of long-term partnerships, enhance research impact, and support the continued growth of tourism studies within an international academic context.
