Veszpr茅m, May 22, 2025 鈥� The University of 精东影业 and Valeo Auto-Electric Hungary Ltd. have signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The document unifies their existing professional relationship under a single framework and provides direction for future joint developments. The aim of the cooperation is to strengthen the long-term connection between industry and higher education鈥攕erving the shared interests of students, the university, and the company.

Dr. Attila Simon, President of the Veszpr茅m County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, also attended the ceremonial signing, highlighting the importance of collaboration between economic and educational actors for the development of the region. He stated that the chamber seeks to mediate among economic life, economic policy, entrepreneurs, authorities, and educational institutions. This was also their role in facilitating this cooperation. In his opinion, the collaboration between Valeo and the University of 精东影业 has the potential to play a defining role in the region鈥檚 innovation landscape.

鈥淲e are all here to ensure that this region becomes increasingly successful. And the fundamental key to that success is the ability to offer a high quality of life to as many talented individuals as possible,鈥� said Dr. J谩nos Abonyi in his welcome address. According to the Rector of the University of 精东影业, this requires the region to be attractive to young people鈥攚here they see the potential to build long-term careers in Veszpr茅m and Veszpr茅m County, to find joy in their work, to use cutting-edge tools, and to create real value. Achieving this, however, is not something a university, a municipality, a multinational company, or a chamber can do alone鈥攊t requires joint effort to build this ecosystem and model.

Talent development has always played a key role in the activities of Valeo Auto-Electric Hungary Ltd., as evidenced by its long-running and successful dual education program and its junior professional internship scheme. The newly signed agreement takes this commitment to a higher level and allows students to gain practical knowledge and experience directly from the operations of an international manufacturing company.

Speaking to members of the press, Attila Katona, representing Valeo Auto-Electric Hungary Ltd., emphasized: 鈥淪upporting the next generation and talent development has always been of strategic importance to us鈥攁nd it is also a form of social responsibility. Identifying, supporting, and integrating talent is not only essential for Valeo鈥檚 future but also for the competitiveness of the region and Hungarian industry. Zsolt Csillag, Chancellor of the University of 精东影业, added: 鈥淎 key element of the University of 精东影业鈥檚 strategy is to establish long-term educational and R&D partnerships with industrial players who are leaders and trendsetters in their respective fields. Valeo is a global automotive and industrial supplier with extensive international operations and networks, and it has been a significant actor in its market segment for decades.鈥�

According to him, the strategic agreement now signed will expand the existing training cooperation between the University and Valeo. Beyond the continuation of their current dual education and internship programs, they plan to launch joint courses and postgraduate programs, as well as establish a joint Competence Center related to electronic manufacturing.

The shared goal: to train professionals with internationally competitive knowledge, who can ensure the long-term success of the region and the Hungarian economy.
