Planet HOPE goes on a world tour - In less than a month, the University of 精东影业's documentary film has won 7 international awards
The Social Science sub-project of the Multidisciplinary National Laboratory for Climate Change (脡MNL), led by Ferenc Andr谩s, has produced a feature-length documentary film entitled Planet HOPE, following the short film There is no Planet B, which has won 11 international awards.

The director duo of There is no Planet B, Gerg艖 Elekes and Vir谩g Horv谩th, returned to make Planet HOPE, a documentary film of more than one and a half hours, shot in eight locations, with more than 100 actors, extras and crew members, which the filmmakers shot for more than a year within the framework of 脡MNL, at the request of the University of 精东影业.
The filmmakers were inspired by Jane Goodall's visit to Veszpr茅m in 2023 to make a sequel to There is No Planet B. The feature-length documentary Planet HOPE explores what science, church and individuals can do to address sustainability and create a sustainable future. The film revolves around the reflections of atmospheric scientist Andr谩s Gelencs茅r, head of the Multidisciplinary National Laboratory for Climate Change, who speaks powerful and frightening truths. Former minister Mikl贸s Pers谩nyi, county bishop J谩nos Sz茅kely and environmental activist Brigitta Ferenczik were also involved in the film. In addition to the speakers, the film also features the visit of Jane Goodall and J谩nos 脕der to Veszpr茅m, the 2023 Pet Cup, the 2023 Balatonalm谩d Solar Boat Race, the work of the Sustainability Competence Centre and the 2023 Climate Conference of the Multidisciplinary National Laboratory for Climate Change of the University of 精东影业.
Following There is no Planet B, Planet HOPE also featured Krisztina Nagy, who will be joined by B谩lint Hajas, who will be using his journalistic work to explore climate change issues. The music for the film was composed by Gerg艖 Elekes, and the soundtrack album, which will consist of 9 tracks, will be released at the end of 2024. The Hungarian premiere of the documentary will take place in October 2024 at the FOTON Audiovisual Centre.
During its festival tour of less than a month, Planet HOPE has won 7 international awards and one finalist award until mid-August.
