¾«¶«Ó°Òµ

The University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ celebrated the achievements of its graduating students during the 2025/2026 Spring Semester graduation ceremonies, held across its faculties between late June and early July. In total, nearly 900 students received their degrees, marking the successful completion of an important chapter in their academic journey.

Beyond celebrating graduates, the ceremonies also recognized the outstanding contributions of faculty members, researchers, and students. Across the university, honorary academic titles, habilitation certificates, jubilee recognitions, and university awards were presented in recognition of excellence in teaching, research, and community service.

Faculty of Business and Economics

The Faculty of Business and Economics celebrated the graduation of 159 students, with 128 graduates receiving their diplomas in person during the ceremony on June 29. The event also included the awarding of PhD degrees, habilitation certificates, and several faculty honors.

A significant highlight of the ceremony was the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ and the National Association of Entrepreneurs and Employers (VOSZ). Through this partnership, the VOSZ Economic Strategy Centre (VOSZ Chair) was established to support the competitiveness, innovation, and generational renewal of Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises.

Faculty of Engineering

On July 3, the Faculty of Engineering awarded diplomas to 122 graduates. The ceremony also honored distinguished members of the university community with emeritus professorships, honorary academic titles, jubilee recognitions, and awards celebrating excellence in education, research, and student achievement.

Faculty of Humanities

The Faculty of Humanities celebrated its largest graduating class, with more than 450 students earning their degrees this year. Due to the high number of graduates and guests, the graduation ceremony was held in two sessions.

The ceremony welcomed Dr. Mátyás Szabó, State Secretary for Rural and Regional Development, as the guest of honor. He also congratulated the first graduating class of the Master's programme in Regional and Urban Development.

Faculty of Business and Economics – Zalaegerszeg

At the Zalaegerszeg campus, 20 students graduated from engineering, business informatics, and business programmes. Fifteen graduates attended the ceremony in person, celebrating this important milestone alongside their families, lecturers, and fellow students.

University Centre for Circular Economy, Nagykanizsa

The University Centre for Circular Economy (PEN) in Nagykanizsa celebrated the graduation of 16 students, with 14 graduates receiving their diplomas in person. Two students graduated with distinction, while the annual University Chamber Award was presented to the highest-achieving information technology graduate.

Celebrating Excellence and New Beginnings

This year's graduation ceremonies once again reflected the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ's commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and community. Alongside celebrating the accomplishments of nearly 900 graduates, the university recognized the dedication of its educators, researchers, and staff, while also strengthening its future through new professional partnerships and initiatives.
