The January final exam period has concluded at the University Center for Circular Economy Nagykanizsa of the University of 精东影业. This week, students enrolled in the master鈥檚 program in Engineering Design & Development for a Circular Economy presented their knowledge before the examination committee.

During the program, students specialized in one of two fields: water management or renewable energy. Over the course of their one-and-a-half-year studies, they conducted independent research, the results of which were summarized in their master鈥檚 theses. As part of the final examination, students defended their theses and presented one of the examination topics covering the full curriculum.

According to the examination committee, the students demonstrated a high level of professional knowledge and preparedness. The theses addressed several timely and practically relevant topics, including the recycling of solar panels, the agricultural use of greywater, the application of solar energy in military contexts, and the optimization challenges related to the orientation and tilt angles of solar power plants.

Several students were actively involved in the research projects of the University Centre. Four graduates defended theses connected to patented research topics; therefore, their final examinations were conducted in a closed format. Most of the graduating students had already gained professional experience prior to enrolling in the master鈥檚 program and chose the degree as a conscious step in their career development.

鈥淚 work in the water utility sector as a technologist, and I wanted to obtain a focused, practice-oriented qualification in addition to my degree in chemical engineering,鈥� said L铆via Balass谩n茅 Zsank贸, one of the graduating students.

During the semester-long examination period, a total of 34 students completed their studies. They will receive their diplomas on January 30 at the University of 精东影业.
