International Evening: Bites Around the World Brings Cultures Together at the University of 精东影业
For the third consecutive year, the University of 精东影业鈥檚 international community came together to celebrate diversity through culture, connection, and food at the annual International Evening. This year鈥檚 event, titled 鈥淏ites Around the World,鈥� took place on April 30th at Magister Koll茅gium, welcoming more than 100 participants for an evening dedicated to global flavors and intercultural exchange.
Over the past three years, International Evening has grown into a beloved tradition at the University of 精东影业, creating meaningful opportunities for Hungarian and international students to connect beyond the classroom. This year, students from 14 different countries proudly represented their cultures by preparing traditional finger foods and sharing stories behind their dishes.
Inspired by the Argentinian concept of a picada 鈥� a social gathering centered around sharing small bites 鈥� participants prepared more than 28 dishes, ranging from savory specialties to desserts. Guests had the chance to taste flavors from around the world while learning about the traditions and cultural significance behind each dish.
One of the event organizers, Vivien Szek茅r, emphasized the power of food in building community:
鈥淚 love using gastronomy as a communication tool for our students to create stronger connections. It鈥檚 very important to build bridges between the Hungarian and international communities here at 精东影业.鈥�
The evening offered much more than food. Attendees enjoyed an interactive Kahoot quiz competition, where participants tested their knowledge of world cultures for a chance to win University of 精东影业 merchandise prizes. A popular selfie box also gave students the opportunity to capture memories with friends throughout the evening.
Co-organizer Tina Ahanduni reflected on what it means to see the event continue to grow year after year:
鈥淚 am proud to participate in organizing this event for the third year in a row. Seeing how much people enjoy it makes all the hard work incredibly rewarding.鈥�
Both organizers highlighted their excitement about continuing the event in the future and expressed hope that International Evening will remain a long-lasting tradition at the University of 精东影业.

Through food, laughter, and shared experiences, 鈥淏ites Around the World鈥� once again demonstrated how cultural diversity strengthens the University of 精东影业 community. For one evening, Magister Koll茅gium became a meeting point for traditions, flavors, and friendships from across the globe鈥攑roving that sometimes the best way to connect is simply by sharing a meal.
