On behalf of the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, Ambassador Lacôte was welcomed by Dr. Zoltán Birkner, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Foundation for the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ, Dr. Szilárd Szentgyörgyi, Rector’s Commissioner for International Affairs, and Vivien Szekér, Rector's Representative for International Affairs. During the meeting, the parties reviewed strategic areas through which French and Hungarian higher education institutions can deepen their collaboration in the future.

A key topic of the discussion was the development of dual degree programmes, which enable students to study simultaneously at two universities in two different countries and earn diplomas from both institutions. This educational model supports students’ academic advancement and intercultural experience, while also fostering international mobility and the expansion of joint scientific research and projects.

The visit marked another important step in the implementation of the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµâ€™s internationalisation strategy, which centres on expanding its international partnership network and developing the intercultural skills and global competencies of its students and faculty. Both parties agreed that deepening French–Hungarian cooperation in higher education will not only promote joint research and training programmes in the long term, but will also contribute to strengthening economic and scientific ties between the two countries.
