Applications for the February 2027 intake at the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ open 15 August and remain open until 15 October 2026. If you're planning to continue your studies in Hungary, now is the perfect time to prepare your documents so you can submit your application as soon as the admission period begins.

Prepare Before Applications Open

The best applications are usually the ones that are prepared in advance. Gathering official documents, arranging translations, and requesting recommendation letters can take time, so it's worth starting now.

Prepare your documents

Before applications open, make sure you have the following ready:

• A valid passport
• Academic documents including transcripts and graduation certificates (Bachelor's degree or equivalent for master's programmes). If your documents are not in English, certified English translations are required.
• Proof of English language proficiency, such as IELTS, TOEFL, or an equivalent certificate. If your previous studies were conducted entirely in English, official proof from your institution may also be accepted.
• A motivation letter explaining your academic goals and why you chose the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ.
• An up-to-date CV or résumé highlighting your education, work experience, and relevant skills.
• Recommendation letters, if your chosen programme requires them.

If you are still completing your current studies, don't worry—you may upload the remaining academic documents later according to the admission schedule.

Know the Application Costs

During the admission process, applicants should be prepared for the following payments:

• Registration fee: €150 (non-refundable)
• Tuition fee: Payment for two semesters after admission
• Optional dormitory advance: €300 (two-month advance payment, if accommodation is requested)

Make sure you have access to a bank account that you can use throughout the entire admission process. It is important to use the same account for all payments.

How the Application Process Works

Step 1 — Apply through DreamApply

All self-funded applications are submitted exclusively through DreamApply, the official admission platform of the University of ¾«¶«Ó°Òµ.

When applications open:

1. Create your DreamApply account.
2. Choose the programme you wish to apply for.
3. Complete your personal information exactly as it appears on your official documents.
4. Upload all required application documents.
5. Submit your application.

Important: Your DreamApply account belongs only to you. Never share your login credentials with anyone. All communication about your application, document requests, interview invitations, and admission decisions will be sent through your personal account.

After submitting your application, you'll receive payment instructions for the €150 registration fee. Once you've completed the transfer, don't forget to upload the proof of payment to DreamApply.

You'll also receive your Applicant ID, which you'll use whenever you contact the Admissions Team.

Step 2 — Document Review

After the application deadline, the Admissions Team carefully reviews every application.

If any document is missing or needs correction, you'll receive a notification directly through DreamApply. Processing applications takes time, so please be patient while your documents are being evaluated.

Step 4 — Complete the Remaining Payments

Successful applicants will then be asked to pay the remaining tuition fees.

Students who request university accommodation may also need to complete the dormitory advance payment.

Step 3 — Entrance Examination or Admission Interview

Once your documents have been approved, you'll be invited to participate in the required entrance examination or admission interview.

This is a mandatory part of the admission process and allows the faculty to evaluate your academic background and motivation.

Results are typically available within two weeks.

Step 5 — Receive Your Letter of Admission

Once every admission requirement has been completed, you'll receive your official Letter of Admission.

This document allows you to begin your visa and residence permit application. Please note that first residence permit applications may only be submitted within 90 days before your planned arrival in Hungary, according to Hungarian immigration regulations.

• Start preparing your documents now instead of waiting until applications open.
• Double-check that all personal information matches your passport exactly.
• Read the specific admission requirements for your chosen programme, as some faculties may request additional documents.
• Keep an eye on your DreamApply account throughout the admission process, as this is where you'll receive updates and messages from the Admissions Team.
• Remember that applications remain in draft mode until every required section has been completed and officially submitted.
