Circular Approach: Creating New Value from Old Membranes
This year, the University of 精东影业鈥檚 research on water purification and membrane technology was presented to the international scientific community at the Kassel Membrane Days conference, where researchers introduced innovative approaches based on the principles of the circular economy.
The university was represented at the event by researchers from the University of 精东影业 Circular Economy University Center in Nagykanizsa: Dr. 脕ron B贸na, Abelneh Terefe, and Girma Deme Daba from Nagykanizsa, as well as Bence Krist贸f Nagy from Veszpr茅m. The research group participated in the prestigious international forum with three scientific posters and one oral presentation.
The focus of the presented research was how membrane technology can be further developed by applying the principles of the circular economy. The researchers are investigating ways to extend the lifespan of membranes used in water purification and to find new methods for reusing membranes that have already reached the end of their original service life. Such solutions could not only contribute to improving water quality but also support more efficient use of resources and reduce waste generation.

Participation in the conference provided an opportunity for the University of 精东影业鈥檚 researchers to present their results to the international professional community and to build connections with other research groups working in the fields of water treatment and membrane technology. The showcased research highlights how the principles of the circular economy and advanced water treatment technologies can work together to support a more sustainable future.
